Level2ChargerInstallation.com (“the Directory,” “we,” “our”) is a free, public directory helping homeowners find qualified Level 2 EV charger installers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly

• Contact form submissions. Name, email address, ZIP code or city, and message content when you use the Contact form to request installer quotes or ask a question.
• Business listings. If you are an installer and have claimed or submitted a listing, we collect your company name, address, phone, website, service area, and any photos you upload.

Information collected automatically

• Standard web analytics. We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to understand aggregate traffic patterns (pages viewed, referrer, browser type, approximate location from IP). We do not use cross-site tracking or ad personalization cookies beyond those served by Google AdSense (see below).
• Server logs. Our hosting provider (GoDaddy) maintains standard access logs including IP addresses, timestamps, and requested URLs, retained for operational and security purposes.

Third-party services embedded on this site

• Google AdSense. Serves display ads on some pages. AdSense uses cookies for ad personalization unless you opt out at adssettings.google.com.
• Google Maps. Embedded on search results and listing pages. Google Maps sets its own cookies per Google’s privacy policy.
• Amazon Associates. Some pages include affiliate links to Amazon. Amazon sets cookies to attribute purchases to this site. We earn a small commission on qualifying purchases — this does not change the price you pay.

How we use your information

• To respond to your inquiries. If you submit a contact form, we use your email or phone to reply.
• To operate the directory. To maintain installer listings and improve content.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share contact form submissions with third parties for marketing. We only forward a lead to a specific installer if you explicitly request it.

• Server logs: hosting provider policy (typically 30–90 days).
• Analytics data: Google Analytics 14 months default.
• Business listings: retained while active; deleted within 30 days of removal request.

Data security

Industry-standard protections including HTTPS, HSTS, security plugin monitoring, regular software updates, and reasonable physical, administrative, and technical safeguards. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure.

Children’s privacy

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy
